This playful arrangement of puzzle pieces scattered across the courtyard and attached to the ground surface continues Kati Toivanen’s exploration of play and games. While impossible to actually put together, this puzzle invites the audience to visually connect the pieces and to identify the elements of this animal themed game. Toivanen’s eighth public art installation references her 2001 Charlotte Street Award Exhibition, which featured a puzzle made of doll hair imagery.
